Today is the day, the 2014 Kia Forte Koup will be debut this evening at the 2013 New York International Auto Show, but before it’s world debut at the Big Apple, Kia’s 3-door coupe has leaked.
Following the arrival of the sedan and hatchback versions, Kia is ready to show the sleeker coupe variant. It will be sold in EX and SX trim levels, with the first one getting a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter GDi engine (173 bhp / 154 lb-ft) while the other has a 4-cylinder 1.6-liter T-GDi (201 bhp / 195 lb-ft). EX receives a six-speed automatic gearbox, while SX has a standard six-speed manual or optional 6-six-speed auto with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
EX is offered as standard with 16-inch alloys, leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED positioning headlights and fog lights, UVO eServices with Rear Camera Display, Bluetooth and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. SX gets 18-inch rims, LED taillights, dual chrome exhaust tips, more aggressive body kit, bigger front brakes, black gloss grille inserts, alloy sport pedals and carbon fiber-like accents for the seats.
Optional goodies for both trims include navigation system with HD radio, HID headlights, heated steering wheel, sunroof, heated front seats, push-start button, dual-zone automatic climate control, electric chromatic rearview mirror and leather seating surfaces.
